In that role, Mr. Donohue has oversight for and manages all of the Company’s non-classified Federal and commercial business.
With more than 27 years of experience in developing and managing IT systems solutions, Mr. Donohue provides expert consulting services to Alqimi Technology’s enterprise, commercial, and Federal customers. His skills encompass the entire technology spectrum, including advanced information and project management, systems architecture and infrastructure, software development, data center operations and migration, and outsourced managed services. Prior to joining Alqimi, Mr. Donohue's experience includes spending ten years as an IBM systems architect for classified Federal customers and prior to that as an officer with the U.S. Air Force with responsibility for managing a broad range of complex IT projects and systems.
Since joining the company in 1998, his leadership and technical expertise has delivered exceptional results and the successful completion of numerous large-scale enterprise projects. He has served as the Program Manager for the Tricare Encounter Data (TED) System for DoD Healthcare (a $14B healthcare claims adjudication system and associated data warehouses), as well as the architect for a major data center migration from Denver to Oklahoma City for the DoD. He also served as chief architect for the successful design and deployment of the enterprise IT infrastructure for a multi-billion-dollar casino.
Mr. Donohue managed Alqimi’s CMMi Level 2 certification received in 2007, guided the recertification in 2010, and now serves as the Executive Sponsor and Chair of the SEPG. He holds numerous industry certifications, including PMP, ITIL Foundations, IBM Certified Professional, and multiple IBM Server and Storage designations, as well as being a NetApp certified sales professional. In addition, he has completed DoD System Acquisitions School Levels 100 and 200, and has more than 3,000 hours of IT security and technical course education.
His memberships include AFCEA, Tech Council Maryland, the Greater Baltimore Tech Council and the, Northern Virginia Tech Council.
Mr. Donohue holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of New Hampshire, and completed post-graduate M.B.A. studies at Babson College.
